Cambrils is located in the core of la Costa Dorada which is one of the major tourist destinations in Catalonia, Spain. The Cambrils coastal resort along with Salou is one of the ever loved holiday destinations on the coastline of Costa Dorada and this town is totally different from modern holiday towns. Some of the parts of Cambrils town are still Spanish in character with paved streets. Cambrils has three beautiful attractions they are its golden beaches, fantastic sea food restaurants, and Port Aventura Theme Park.

Cambrils is very small and less spoilt as compared to Salou with a population of around 26,000 and total municipal area of 34.76 square kilometers. Cambrils was dominated by Romans who established the first true settlement since 3rd century BC. The city was constructed by Romans and maintained this town as a military post. Cambrils underwent a horrific 3 day siege in the year 1640 during the war of the Reapers. Many people were killed and most of the town walls were destroyed. But still Cambrils survived economically for many centuries thanks to the great efforts of its fishermen and the fishing activity which is famous even today. Cambrils is one of the most popular destinations for golfing holidays with courses available for all classes and abilities.

Cambrils is considered to be one of the quiet destinations which are ideal for spending holidays with families and friends and has been named as a Family Holiday Destination by the General Direction of the Tourism Department of Catalonia. Cambrils is famous for its authentic nature and people can really enjoy seeing the arrival of boats in the fishing port, and have the pleasure of eating fresh fish in the restaurants. In addition to this there is high quality beaches spread over large kilometers in Cambrils which attracts people of all ages. The beaches in Cambrils are broadly extending over nine kilometers. The younger generation will be attracted by Salou’s Port Aventura theme park one of the largest theme parks in Europe located within the province of Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. This theme park is filled with lot of rides ranging from gentle to crazy, shows, restaurants, shops etc.

Cambrils enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate with sizzling summers and gentle winters. The tourist industry is still at growing stage in Cambrils hence the atmosphere around Cambrils has not yet spoilt. The street markets at Cambrils offer fresh fruits and vegetables which gives unlimited enjoyment. In addition to this Cambrils have traditional fiestas which take place throughout the year and Catalonian Sardana dancing events happen during warm summer evenings are the events which are really nice to watch and enjoy. Cambrils, no doubt is rated as one of the world’s most exciting cities where people can really enjoy, have fun and spend a valuable vacation.
