Maine State is located in the New England region of northeastern United States of America. In addition to this Maine State is renowned for its ocean scenery which covers more than 5600 km of shoreline. Maine State has 2000 islands off the coast.

Maine State was described as drowned coast by popular geologists because its fabulous land features were occupied by rising sea level thereby creating bays out of valleys islands out of mountain tops. The climate at Maine are generally warm with humid summers, cold and snowy winters. Maine State is recognized as one of the most healthful states in the nation with average temperature of 70*F during summer and 20*F during winter. The Katahdin Mountain in the State of Maine is the highest mountain which is 5271 ft. above sea level. The mountains at Maine State are blanketed with wild blueberry barrens. Maine State is surrounded by more than 32000 miles of rivers and streams which are equal to more than the combined length of the Mississippi, Yangtze and Nile and Amazon rivers.

There are lots of places for sightseeing at State of Maine which campers really enjoy and have fun. Maine has more than sixty lighthouses that stand guard along her coastline, fall touring loops, summer touring loops etc. Sebago Lake is Maine State’s most visited destinations. Campers with families and children visit this lake and enjoy the crystal clear lake, white sand beach, etc. This lake is considered to be a great place for picnic and some afternoon fun in the sun. Next interesting place to watch at Maine State is the York beach which is famous for Victorian era shops, sun bathing, local amusement park and zoo. Camping at Maine State will be really fantastic and campers should leisurely spend the day at their own pace and explore its quiet coastal villages, isolated mountain lakes and wild blueberry barrens. There is a lot to enjoy in every bend in the roads of Maine State.
