France Camping
Camping in France is very popular among the European tourists with its many inexpensive campgrounds sprinkled around the country. The campgrounds in France are even, rated by the government. The peak season for camping is during the months of July-August and during this time the campgrounds are the most expensive. Most of the star rated campsites in France have all the amenities like grocery stores, restaurants, snack bars, pools and nightclubs available during the peak season.
Some of the very popular campsites present in France are mentioned below.
i) La Grande Metairie- It is one of the famous holiday parks present in France and is quite popular for camping. The site is located opposite the famous standing stones of Carnac and near the sandy beaches. Campers can cycle or walk past these famous standing stones which run two miles from the campsite. Campers who like something more quieter and relaxing can explore the Brier Regional Park located south of the Gulf of Morbihan. Also present in the La Granda Metairie is a super water park with slides, covered pool and lazy river overlooking the restaurant.
ii) La Cote de Nacre- This family run park is situated within the Channel ports’ easy reach and close to the sandy beaches of the St. Aubin sur Mer town. This campsite is a short distance away from the Bayern historic town. This park has a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere with well maintained and modern park facilities. The flat countryside around the park makes it an ideal place for biking by the campers.
iii) Le Littoral- Le Littoral is located in ‘Cote de Lumiere’ and is ideal for campers looking for a lively family holiday. People can access directly to a rocky cove and enjoy walks along its coastal paths. The campsite has a tranquil and pleasant setting surrounded by woods and a sandy beach a short distance away. The pool complex in the place has a covered pool and provides entertainment program during the high season.
iv) Du Jard- This campsite is very well maintained and has a spacious play area, a short walk away from its sandy beach. The place is famous for its wonderful beaches facing southwards. The campsite of Du Jard is well run and has flat, grassy pitches, and the attractive buildings house most of the modern facilities. Campers can either take part in outdoor activities or enjoy a drink in the terrace bar or relax in the sauna. The place also has a swimming pool complex with a covered pool.
v) Les Menhirs- Les Menhirs is situated at a short walking distance from the beach and the centre of the Carnac Plage. It is a very lively park having a fantastic water chute. Camping in Les Menhirs is a perfect choice for people wanting to have a family beach holiday that is lively. The swimming pool complex of the park is a great attraction with its waterchute and giant waterslide and a mini slide in the children’s pool.
