Girl camping

Want your child to go for a summer vacation and experience the outdoors this summer? In that case, you might as well plan a week or two at a summer girl’s camp; after all, what better way is there to introduce your daughter to nature than girl camping? Girl camping not only teaches her some very important lessons in life like team work, organization and courage, but also girls-only camps mostly strive to address issues specific to girls, especially in their adolescence. If your child is the type who loves adventure, then she doesn’t need to worry about anything; girl camping is just meant for her. There are girls-only camps are a great way to explore the outdoor and also give your child the opportunity to learn some very important survival tactics.

Another great thing about girl camping is that in an environment with no boys around, girls feel free to participate in any activity they choose, such as swimming et.al, without feeling uncomfortable. Many young girls who are shy and are not very good at physical activities, find it easier to experiment with outdoor activities during girl camping, as there are less awkwardness involved and they feel more at home.

During girl camping, girls can participate in various sports such as running, basketball, archery, range shooting; all this can be done without having to worry about competing with stronger and bigger boys. Many parents also find girl camping a much better option as they do not need to worry about boisterous and overtly arduous behavior; this is mainly the case amongst parents of adolescent girls.

Of the best known girls-only camps is the Girl Scout Camp. These camps can be found in places all across the country. Unlike privately owned or family run camps, people who intend to attend Girl Scout camp must be an active member of the Girl Scouts. These camps offer a wide mix of activities such as swimming, canoeing, archery and horseback riding. Not only is that, usually Girl’s scout camps also within reasonable budget.

However, if your child is interested in something more vigorous, then you can select a more adventure oriented camps. These experiences at girl camping encourage your daughter to explore and enjoy varied kinds of activities. Apart from adventure activities, there are some girl camping programs which offer vocational training in fields of acting, modeling, ballet, gymnastics and music. However, some of these camps are quite expensive, so does a background check regarding their effectiveness, before you enroll your child.

A girls’ camp offers many advantages that both the child and their parents can enjoy. While it allows your girls to relax and have fun with girls of their own age, you can be more relaxed as you will know that your young child is in a ‘boy-free’ environment. Hence, girl camping isn’t only fun for the participants but also a way for parents to breath easy, knowing very well that their girls are safe while they are having a good time.
