I came down to Oakland to spend NYE. I walked around snapping pictures at the Lake Merritt garden center among other places in the Lake Merritt area. I was trying to focus on a flower and I saw that cat. It scared the heck out of me.

That little red and black bush just before the cat photos is known as Tequila Sage. The building across the lake is where the Grateful Dead use to play on NYE.
