The first setback is the time taken to set up and take down the camper. A lot of time is taken up leveling, anchoring, and also connecting the camper to sources of water and electricity. Campers also offer very limited ameneties . Pop up campers are not particularly luxurious and neither are they very spacious. In a camper, you are also braced against the elements. It is not a happy thought to get tossed around inside a camper with a gale, or a snowstorm howling outside. A pop up camper hardly provides any privacy. The material of the camper is usually transluscent and hardly soundproof. The mattresses on the beds are definitely not luxurious, being made with utility rather than comfort, in mind. If your pocket permits, invest in a good air mattress, because a good night’s sleep is imperative after a long day. While selecting a camper, make sure you pick one with vinyl covered windows. This allows ample light and air to come in. Some campers have windows which have flaps made of thick materials, same as the rest of the camper. These campers can turn into baking ovens, especially during the summer months.

All in all, popup campers are a blessing for people who are interested in camping and need to do so on a budget. It is an improvised tent, which gives more comfort and protection, something that we all want when out in the wilderness. With time, many luxuries have been added to the pop up camper. Most of them have heaters and air conditioning units, these days. Depending on the budget, campers range from Spartan camps to neo modern mini condos. Many new varieties have come, which possess added features like a portable toilet, comfortable bedding, and even mini bars to keep your beer chilled.

The box of the camper ranges between eight to eighteen feet in length. Other gadgets like tables, beds can be slid out and folded at will. New campers come with extendable adjustments, which can be used according to need. You can also go for optional screen rooms, which can be attached to the awning of the camper, providing extra space in your camper. However, bear in mind that adding these extensions also increase the time required to set up and pack up the camper.
