There are 134 campsites with full hook-ups for RVs and trailers at Modesto Reservoir Regional Park Campground. A variety of sites are available, with 36 for tents. All campsites may be reserved, although some are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The four loops are A-D. The A and B Loops include full hook-ups, while C Loop has electric and water hook-ups. The D Loop, known as Shady Point, does not have hook-ups and is not suitable for RVs and trailers.

Modesto Reservoir Regional Park, which is 20 miles east of Modesto, lies near Waterford. The reservoir's 2,800 acres of surface water are surrounded by 3,200 acres of park land. Swimming, fishing, boating, water skiing, and picnics are among the diversions available. The park also has an archery range and an electric radio-controlled gliding airfield.
