About Squantz Pond State Park

Squantz Pond immerses visitors in a mountainous environment, with steep wooded slopes that disappear into the cool blue pond, and colorful foliage that delights visitors all year round. In the fall, the park becomes a popular place for photographers to take photos of the beautiful leaves, waterfalls and scenic views of New York State Park.

The park is located at the intersection of Route 39 North and I-84 in Danbury, New York State Park.

From West New York, take I-684 to Danburg, Exit 5 to the Route 38 North Exit and Exit 6 to take you east on I-84 to I / 84. At a stoplight, turn left onto Route 39 North and follow the sign to Squantz Pond and turn right into the parking lot.

Once at New Fairfield Center, follow the sign for Route 37 and turn right at a traffic light. Turn right at the stoplight onto Route 39 North and right into the parking lot of Squantz Pond State Park.

Turn right on Route 39 northbound, which will take you approximately two miles to the park entrance, and turn right at the traffic light onto Route 37 North.

At the stoplight, turn left onto Route 39 North and right onto Route 37 South, following the sign to Squantz Pond. Take Route 7 North on 84 East in Danbury and take Exit 5, then turn left onto the exit for Route 38 North.

The park is located on Route 7 North on 84 East in Danbury and take Exit 5, then turn left onto the Route 38 North exit and right onto Route 37 South, following the sign to Squantz Pond. At the stoplight on Route 39 North, turn right into the parking lot and then left onto the road to the park.

The park was originally located at the intersection of Route 29 and Route 31 in New Haven, Connecticut, but is now located north of the city of Newington, New Hampshire.
