About George Crady Bridge Fishing Pier State Park

The mile-long pedestrian bridge is located northeast of Jacksonville and spans Nassau Sound, which provides access to the Gulf of Mexico, the Florida Keys and the Atlantic Ocean. Fishermen catch fish such as whiting, pike, drum and tarpon on the bridge, as well as other fish species such as perch, trout, salmon, tuna, mackerel and more. The Fischerbrücke is open daily from June to October from 9 am to 5 pm and on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm.

Access to the southern end of the Fischerbrücke is via a two-lane road from the main access road at the northern end and a one-way street from a parking lot at the southern end. The main access is limited by the Fishermen's Bridge, the George C. Carey Bridge and the Florida Keys.

Nassau Sound is one of the most popular fishing destinations in the state of Florida and is located in Nassau County, Florida, north of Fort Myers. The whole family and pets can take a break from fishing and enjoy a safe and fun day of fishing at George C. Carey Bridge Fishing Pier State Park. You can walk, swim, picnic, hike, bike, kayak, canoe, boat or relax by fishing.

Fishing is also popular at the George C. Carey Bridge Fishing Pier State Park in Fort Myers, Florida, north of the state capital.

In the area, many different fish species can be caught, including redfish, sea trout, bluefish and many other fish species. The fishing pier is closed to traffic and offers fishermen the opportunity to wet their lines in the hope of catching the next record fish for tonight's dinner. Redfish and sea trout are available all year round, but numbers are higher in spring and autumn. Popular baits include mullets and shrimp, which can be caught either along the coast or by casting nets.

Artificial baits such as blue fish, mackerel, perch, redfish and other fish species are also very popular, as is the blue shark.

At the southern end of the fishing bridge live tarpon and mullet and a number of other fish species.

After moving into more southerly waters, the mullets follow and swallow them for the next few days.

Amelia Island State Park is located at the southern end of Fisherman's Bridge on the west side of Amelia Island, Florida. Parking for the fishing bridge is available in the parking lot and for the fishing bridge in the island park Amelia.
