About Cedar Key Scrub State Reserve

The salt marshes of the Gulf of Mexico have given way to the scrub of the Cedar Key State, which offers a unique blend of tropical and subtropical plants, animals and species. The undergrowth is dominated by the palm tree, which can be seen from the coast, and a few miles away on the east coast of Florida.

The swamps are ideal for canoeing and kayaking, and canoes or kayaks can be rented in the town of Cedar Key. Hikers and road cyclists who want to experience the mosaic of Florida's habitats will find this experience on the park's miles of paths and winds. The park has picnic shelters, tables and barbecues, as well as a number of picnic areas for picnics and other outdoor activities.

The hotel is located in the town of Cedar Key, south of the main entrance to the park on the east side of Lake Okeechobee. Florida State Parks is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends.

The reserve covers an area of 6,500 square meters and covers 2,200 square kilometers of land.

The reserve includes Cedar Key State Park and Lake Okeechobee National Wildlife Refuge.

The height differences range from the sea level on the eastern edge of the reserve, which is the highest and driest on the property, to the sea level near the western edge. The ridge is criss-crossed by pine forests and dirty, flat forests, and much of this land is relatively flat and flat.

The reserve covers an area of about 3,000 square kilometers and covers a total of 2.2 million hectares.

The Trailhead has a paved parking lot that can accommodate about 15 vehicles, and the reserve uses existing jeep lanes for a total of about four kilometers to the east and eight kilometers to the west. The reserve is divided into three sections by CR347, which runs between Cedar Keys and Fowler's Bluffs: the eastern, western and eastern - western parts of the park.

The trails are mainly used for hiking, but are also suitable for cycling and horseback riding, as well as for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

The reserve uses existing jeep tracks for multi-purpose trails, which are about four kilometers on the eastern side of the reserve and about six kilometers on the western side. The reserve is divided by the CR 347, which runs between Cedar Keys and Fowler's Bluffs. These trails are mainly used for hiking, but are also suitable for cycling and horse riding, as well as for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. This site is located at the southern end of the Cedar Key Rub State Reserve, north of Fowler Bluff.
