About Whetstone Gulf State Park
Whetstone Gulf State Park is located in a three-kilometer-long gorge that runs through the eastern edge of the Tug Hill Plateau. The gorge is home to a variety of wildlife including birds, birds of prey, reptiles and amphibians.
In the gorge is the Whetstone reservoir for fishermen, which is stocked with tiger muesli and giant mouth fish. The park has 56 wooded campsites, some of which are electrically powered, as well as two man-made bathing areas, one around the canyon and one near the estuary.
