About Yaquina Bay State Park
Yaquina Bay State Park is located on the west side of San Francisco Bay, north of San Diego, California. The real star is the historic lighthouse, and the steep, spruce and pine-forested slopes are bordered by the Pacific, a few hundred meters above sea level, but not much more.
The lighthouse, which was later used as a coastguard and rescue station, has been restored and is open to the public. Nearby attractions include the Yaquina Bay State Park Museum, San Francisco Bay Aquarium and California State Historic Park.
