About Lathrop State Park

Visitors have access to Lathrop State Park, one of the largest and most beautiful national parks in North America. You can see a variety of wildflowers blooming from early spring to late autumn, and you can see the wildflowers blooming in late spring and early autumn.

The Cuerno Verde Trail leads to Lake Martinique and is open to cyclists and hikers, but the Hogback Trail is only suitable for hikers. The Cuernaventura Verdes Trail, which leads from Lathrop State Park to the northern end of the park.

The trail then crosses the rocky Hogback Ridge, which forms the northern boundary of the park. If the path follows the ridge, you can enjoy the sandstone formations on the south side of Lake Martinique and views of Lathrop State Park and the San Gabriel Mountains.

Signs have been erected along the two-kilometer-long path, which accompany a brochure with information about flora and fauna of Lathrop State Park. Brochures are free and available for all hiking trails, but bikes are prohibited on the designated nature trails.

The 3 km long trail is a closed circuit, except for a short section on the east side of the park, near the entrance to Lathrop Park.

The trail runs parallel to the lake and is popular with cyclists and hikers and can be reached on foot from the campsite. It is accessible for disabled people and has toilets on the way, but motorized use is prohibited. The trail has a toilet on each trail and the trail is accessible to pedestrians, cyclists and hikers.
