The gorge was created thousands of years ago by the water flowing up and down the crest, and much of the original garden still exists as a formal garden with an extensive system of pathways. In 1933, the state Plant Progress Administration transformed the gorge into a dramatic garden by turning the gorges into dramatic gardens.

The gorge loop is closed to traffic in the evening hours, but remains open to pedestrians, bicycles and wheelchairs. The view from the garden offers car and bicycle drivers a spectacular 360-degree view of the gorge and its surroundings. During the azalea season, the gardens flower from the end of January to April.

Visitors have many picnic areas with tables and barbecues as well as access to a variety of outdoor activities such as picnics. Palatka, 1600 Twigg Street, is located on the west side of the park, just off Route 1, next to the gorge loop. It has a large outdoor terrace that can be rented for $10 per person or $20 per day for a family of four.

Ravine Gardens State Park is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including weekends and holidays such as Memorial Day, Labor Day and New Year's Day. IDs and information can be collected at the park gate at any time, and the Citizens' Office is also open on weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. P. M., London. The Gorge Gardens Park includes a visitor centre, picnic area, car park, visitor centre and visitor centre.

The 59-acre garden was created as a natural canyon in the 1930s and was described in the 1934 Florida Community Book as the "Outstanding Civil Works Administration." Ravine Gardens is the only park with a formal landscape and was maintained by the city of Palatka until the 1970s, when the park was transferred to the state of Florida.

At the entrance to the park there is an obelisk dedicated to Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the typical period for the construction of the garden and its landscaping were the 1930s, 1940s and 50s.

Picnic tables and barbecues are available free of charge, and in the middle of the park is a paved gorge with picnic area and picnic benches. The stairs and paths leading to the gorge are the closest picnic spots, but picnic tables or barbecues are also available free of charge at the entrance to Ravine Gardens State Park.

There is also a paved road and toilets that are easy to reach, and Ravine Gardens have ADA compliant public toilets. The playground is located in the driveway around the gorge and the picnic area and picnic benches are located on the east side of the park, near the access to the hiking trail and in front of a small parking lot. There is also a picnic table, picnic bench, playground equipment and other amenities.

Rine Gardens State Park is located in Palatka, Florida, east of Twigg Street, at the junction of US17 / SR100 south of Moseley Avenue. The price includes a swing, slide and climbing equipment, which are in the shade of the trees around the gorge.
