About Three Rivers State Park

Where Florida meets the southwestern corner of Georgia, the Chattahoochee and Flint rivers converge in the midst of this peaceful park to form Lake Seminole. Walking through the wooded hills of Three Rivers State Park, visitors can see white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, coyotes and other wildlife as they walk along the banks of the river. Fishermen can start their day here in this beautiful park, just a few miles from the Florida border, with the best freshwater fishing in the state.

A shaded picnic area with tables and barbecues overlooks the lake, and picnic pavilions with 60 seats are available for large gatherings. Visitors can stay in fully equipped tents and enjoy the comfort of modern cabins or camp at one of the many campsites.

The hotel is located on the west side of the park, a few hundred meters from the lake. Three Rivers State Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife and birds, and hundreds of waterfowl seek refuge in the quiet slums of the bay surrounding the parks. Bald eagles build their nests in and around the park and can swim on or near the lakes.

Deer is a very common sight, but there are also many rare and unusual plant species in the park.

Three Rivers State Park features large squirrels with their faces covered by black masks.

Log cabins - cabins in style have wood burning fireplaces, and there are many different types of cabins in Three Rivers State Park. There are cabins on all campsites, but there is only one cabin in the park with a wood-burning stove and an oven.

There is also a fully equipped kitchen, and the cottage is also equipped with a bed, bathroom and shower as well as access to shower and toilet.

Camping is allowed in the Lakeside Camping Area, where you have a nice shaded campsite and can see Florida and Georgia from the campsites. Bring your Reserve of America booklet and get ready for a fun and comfortable stay!

We have a garbage dump near the campsite, but you can make a reservation through Reserve of America.

Three Rivers offers two campsites, one for 100 campers and the other for 200 campers. Each camp behaves like a large brick bathhouse, and each camp has its own page for men and women. The camper with 100 tents stays in the bathhouses, which have separate sides for men and women. Both sides have several showers, toilets and sinks, but only one shower for women and no showers for men.

Two new group-sized barbecues have been installed in the Highlands and the park is calling for reservations to be made for group camp stays. The landfill is located in this park and is equipped with air conditioning, a fireplace and a water well.

Firewood is collected on the grounds of the park and can be sold at the campsites at reasonable prices. The pitches can accommodate campers of various sizes, and a small boat ramp is located near the large fishing pier that extends to Lake Seminol.

Three Rivers offers a variety of camping options, from small campsites to large multi-family tents.

Each camp has a large brick bathhouse, and 100 tent campers can stay in each camp, with each side having several showers, toilets and sinks. The bathhouses have separate sides for men and women, as well as separate showers and toilets for children.

The lake is flat in many areas and has a considerable density of water and vegetation, and old tree stumps can be found all over the lake.

There are two small boat ramps in the park that are suitable for small boats, but I have found that the most experienced boaters prefer shallow and deep-sea boats for this reason. Both ramps are located near campsites and are only accessible to registered campers. The other ramp is a picnic area that can be used by park visitors, and another ramp is located at another park entrance to the lake.

In the park there are also two landscaped boat ramps that offer space for larger boats. One of these ramps is located on the west side of the lake at the entrance to Three Rivers State Park, the other at a picnic spot at the northern end of Lake Michigan.

Lake Seminol is an excellent place for canoeing and kayaking, and aluminum canoes can be rented at the park for $12 a day. Lifebuoys and paddles are provided, as well as a variety of other equipment such as kayaks, paddle boards and paddle boards for hire.

Fishing is also very popular in the park, as Lake Seminole is known to produce some of the largest freshwater fish of its kind in the state of Florida. A Florida freshwater fishing license is required for anyone 16 years and older, and the fish that can be caught by a angler can be up to 3.5 meters long.

The park offers a variety of fishing equipment, such as kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and kayak rental, but there is no limit on the number of fish that can be caught.

In the park there are cottages for rent, as well as bees for rent, and there is a landfill located within the park.

The park also has a group camp that can accommodate up to 100 campers. There are three outdoor picnic pavilions, with picnic areas in each of the parks. The largest picnic area has a picnic table, picnic chairs and picnic tables, and a large picnic tent.

The pavilions can be reserved without fees or taxes by calling the park at 850 - 482 - 9006 or using the Three Rivers State Park Visitors Center's first come, first served service line.

The largest picnic area in the park overlooks Lake Seminole, which offers scenic views of Lake Okeechobee, the Florida Keys and the Tallahassee skyline. Picnic areas are located on the west side of the parking lot, south of Three Rivers State Park. Two hiking trails are currently being built in the parks, one of which also starts at a rest area.

The other trail starts at the edge of the picnic area and leads hikers to the picnic spots of Lake Okeechobee and Lake Seminole and the shores of the lake. Cyclists can ride several kilometers of paved parking trails, and for campers this route starts at a campsite and offers a picturesque walk along the shores of Lake Seminol.

Unfortunately pets are not allowed in the cabins, but they can stay on the campsites according to the same rules. Pets are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash and behave well, but if they are kept well they are not welcome at all.

Pets must always be kept on a leash and must not be taken out of the cabins for more than 30 minutes at a time. Do not let pets run free or bark continuously and do not leave a handcuffed pet unattended for more than 30 minutes.

Quiet times must be observed from 23: 00 to 20: 30 on weekdays and from 21: 45 to 23: 15 on the same day, except on weekends.

Florida law requires that all pets be vaccinated against rabies, and their owners must collect their animals from the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DNR) and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

Animals that are noisy, dangerous, intimidating or destructive must not stay in the park and must be locked up and locked away.

Animals may not be kept in or near the park and breaches of this rule may result in campers being asked to place animals in the parks or leave the campsite.

Three River SP is easily accessible via the 10, take exit 158, drive north from the town of Sneads and drive south on the road to the entrance to Three River State Park.

The park is located two miles north of Sneads, where you turn left to the west and turn right onto the road leading to the entrance to Three River State Park. From Snead, turn left onto Highway 90 and drive into the parking lot for the park and park entrance.
