The park includes former farmland leased by the Department of Natural Resources from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. There are no camping fees, but campers should register for a guest campsite upon arrival and all campsites remain available according to the "first come, first served" principle, which offers the same facilities as any other campsite. Three shower buildings are available for campers, and three showers on each of the three campsites, as well as two showers on the picnic area.
