About Springbrook State Park

This picnic area has tables, barbecues, water and toilet facilities and can be reserved at the park office for a fee.

Springbrook offers a variety of rustic family cottages and cabins for rent in the park. Each cabin can accommodate up to four people and can be rented weekly for $1,000 per month or $2,500 per year for a two-room cabin.

Each cabin is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, water and flush toilet and the cabins can be rented for up to four people per month or $2,500 per year.

Cabins can be booked for a fee by calling toll-free at 1-877-IAPARKS or by e-mail. Cabin users must bring their own food, water, toiletries and camping equipment. The largest campsite has 118 pitches and 81% of the pitches are equipped with electricity and showers. Hot water is not available, but in some camps there is a shower and in others a hot water supply.

Cabins are also available at various locations in the park and in several cabins near the campsite.

Half of the campsites are still open, with the "first come, first served" principle, but reservations for these campsites can be made online or by telephone at 1 - 888 - 762 - 5555.

A great trail that leads through the heart of Springbrook for a total of 12 km, and you will see deer along the whole nature trail that winds around the lake.

This is a 160 mile loop that connects the Big Creek Ledges with Springbrook, mainly on cobbled raccoon bike paths. Cyclists can only ride part of the entire route, and snowmobiles are not allowed on the designated trails.

The route is relatively flat, but has some challenging hills as it winds through 14 charming towns and winds through the Big Creek Ledges, Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Appalachian Trail.

Bring your own gear to your campsite or enjoy it at a local bed and breakfast or motel along the route. Bed and Breakfast, parking and concessionaires offer a shuttle service for equipment and luggage for a nominal fee. Reservations for shuttle services must be made in advance and are offered by a licensed parking lot operator with breakfast included.

A detailed brochure of the route is available at Springbrook State Park Visitor Center as well as hotels and motels along the way.
