The W.P.A. built a small wall of earth to form the Rooks State Fishing Lake, which, however, dries out regularly due to irregular inflows. The lake is surrounded by a number of picnic spots, some of which are ideal for picnicking or just to enjoy the scenery around the lake.

Tables are provided in different places and two areas are centrally equipped with box toilets.

Camping is allowed on designated campsites, with a maximum of two tents per person per day and a minimum of four per campsite.

At the northeast corner of the lake there is a concrete ramp to a floating dock, and motor boats are allowed to go fishing on this lake. The lake is small and you should not pay attention to the speed, but you can swim and go by boat safely.

Note: Due to water level fluctuations, it should be noted that vegetation may flood some areas of the lake, especially in the early morning and late afternoon. To compensate for fluctuating water levels, fisheries are managed and stocked in accordance with federal and state regulations and local regulations.

The fish then grow quickly in nutrient-rich water and are offered for sale in restaurants, grocery stores and other local stores. Picnic tables are available at all campsites around the lake, on the shore and in some remote areas such as the creek.

Group accommodation is equipped with secure toilets, but only available during the day. During the summer months, the property can be used by contacting the Webster Area Office to obtain a special permit for this event.
