About Wilson State Park

Wilson State Park is located in the picturesque Smoky Hills region of Kansas and offers a wide range of scenic views of the Great Plains and Kansas River Valley. The park's 945 acres consist of two areas, Hell Creek and Otoe, located on the western edge of Wilson County, Kansas, south of Wichita.

Water connections to shower buildings are available from April to September, and frost hydrants and several vaulted toilets are open in winter. The park's bathing area with swimming pool offers visitors a pleasant alternative to bathing on the beach.

The Cedar Trail in the Otoe area is accessible to people with disabilities, and the Switchgrass Trail offers cyclists a scenic 10 km route. The Dakota Trail offers visitors a wide range of trails and trails that go beyond the main network of trails in the park, as well as a number of hiking trails and parking lots.
