About Cumberland Falls State Resort Park

Imagine a wall of water falling 60 feet over boulders and scattered canyons, and a whispering mist kisses your face. The 150-meter-wide water curtain known as Niagara South is dramatic day and night. When there is a full moon at night, there is a phenomenon that is not found anywhere else in the Western Hemisphere: a moonbow visible from Niagara Falls State Resort Park in Niagara - on - Lake.

The area is a natural choice for water sports and offers a wide range of opportunities for kayaking, rafting, canoeing and other recreational activities. Professional equipment is located just five miles east of the resort and the area is home to many of Canada's most popular kayaking and canoeing tours.

The historic Dupont Lodge, built from massive hemlock beams and gnarled pines, offers spectacular views of the Cumberland River Valley, as spectacular as the surrounding area. From hiking, mountain biking and horse riding to canoeing and kayaking, it is the perfect getaway for a weekend getaway.

A multipurpose building next to the lodge can accommodate up to 350 people, and a combination room with 75 seats is a common room. Cumberland Falls is an ideal meeting location, but for smaller groups there are two large meeting rooms, one in the main lodge and one on the second floor of the building.

The lodge is the perfect place for a wedding, let your guests entertain you in the spacious lobby. The Dupont Lodge Patio offers inspiring views of Cumberland Falls and surrounding mountains, with views of the surrounding area. Cabins are available in the late afternoon and each individual or two-room cabin has a unique charm. Crockery, cooking utensils and bed linen are provided and fresh linen is provided daily.

With over 50 campsites with electricity and water connections, each campsite behaves well. Enjoy nature and have access to a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, hiking and camping.

Pets are not allowed or kept on the campsites or on the grounds of Cumberland Falls State Resort Park or on any of its campsites.

Located in Cumberland Falls State Resort Park, the lodge features gnarled pine paneling and modern interiors with amenities including an interior corridor. The room was completely renovated in 2006 and features amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, private dining room and guest amenities, and access to all lodges in State Park.

Relax on the beautiful large observation deck overlooking the Cumberland River, which winds down the slope. DuPont Lodge is also embedded as a spectacular wedding venue, with a beautiful river view and a private wedding area.

The pool is not far from the forest rooms of the lodge, and the use of the pool is free of charge for guests of the cottages themselves. On a hot summer's day, take a dip in one of Cumberland Falls State Resort Park's many swimming pools.

The discovery of real colorful gems and fossils can begin at the edge of the gems, and you can buy bags for $6, 8 or $10 per fossil. This new attraction is the Cumberland Falls Mining Company, located right next to the waterfall, just outside the gift shop.

There are many different gems to discover, from locally found pyrite, fluorite and quartz to ruby moon and raspberry quartz. Sharing the mining experience at Flume Mine is fun, just put a ball of coarse material on a screen and then rinse in clear water.

You can compare your finds and help each other to identify what you have found, and you can help others to identify the finds. Opening hours are from 9 am to 7 pm (weather permitting) and we invite individuals, families and groups of all sizes.

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is the perfect place to bring the thrill of horseback riding to your family. The park offers guided hikes, which are open to the public every day from 9 am to 7 pm.

Drivers up to 6 years of age can enjoy the beauty of eastern Kentucky, which is beautiful all year round.

The stables are open every weekend in May and open all day on Memorial Weekend and Labor Day. From May to October, the riding is open daily from 9 am to 7 pm and on weekends from 6 pm to 9 pm.

In autumn, private horses are allowed, and there are several ways to do this in the area, but there is only one private stable for private horses and no public horses. On the south side of the park, next to the hiking trail, there is a private horse parking.

Guided rafting tours are offered on the Cumberland River, and excursions are organised by the park via the internet or by telephone.

Many species of warblers cross the Cumberland Falls area, but some of the most memorable bird watching is hearing the calls and seeing the woodpeckers we have seen.

We have observed several species of birds, but the most frequent visitors were the Tufte spotted woodpecker and the Red-bellied woodpecker.

A three-dimensional relief map that outlines the main park facilities in the middle of the park. A better snack and visitor center is located near the waterfall area, and there is a new visitor center, although it is only a few hundred meters from the main entrance and parking lot.

Other exhibits illustrate the life of the Indians and show the geology and history of the area. Signs tell visitors how to behave safely in the park, how to avoid the cliffs and not wade into the river, stay behind barriers near the waterfalls, avoid cliffs and stay behind the barriers.

Since 2004, from April 1st to October 31st, the snack bar has been part of the gift shop and visitor centre, which is open all year round.
