Lily Bay State Park is a place to pitch a tent that is good for remote and wooded areas and is located right on the lake. Located near Beaver Cove, the park offers visitors a popular central region of Maine where hiking, fishing, hunting and leaf watching are popular year-round activities.

The water is cool and deep, rich in togue, brown trout and salmon, and it is filled with a devastating basin that spans 117 square miles.

Opened in 1961, the 925-hectare park invites visitors to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including swimming, boating, camping and wildlife watching. The Moosehead area is known worldwide as home to elk and is one of the most popular destinations for the animals living here. Visitors hope to see these majestic animals in their native habitat.

Perhaps the most spectacular peak in the area is Kineo, which rises abruptly from the middle of the lake. The cliffs of Kineso rise over 800 feet above the water and are a must see - see for yourself how they rise over 800 feet above the water. In winter, the warm waters of Lake Tahoe, the largest freshwater lake in North America, attract warm visitors to the park.
