Never has the search for autumn leaves been better than in Clarksburg State Park in New Hampshire. The lush, unspoilt forests offer breathtaking views of the Great Lakes and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as a variety of animal and plant habitats.

As a national park, the picturesque Mauserts Pond is a scenic day trip - a great place to swim, picnic, fish and gazebos. The pond is lined with picturesque paths through which visitors can observe a variety of wild plants and animals.

The Appalachian Trail runs through the forest where the Mohawk Indians once lived, and the state forest is home to a variety of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians, as well as birds of prey.

Clarksburg State Forest is located in the northern part of the Berkshires in western Massachusetts and is the largest national park in New England.

Clarksburg State Park is on the right, follow Rte. Turn left onto Middle Rd and follow it east, then turn left onto Middle Rd. Turn left on East Main Street and then right on West Main Street. Exit Middle Road and head east on Main, turn right on East State Street and turn right on Park.

Park is on the right, follow Rte. Middle Rd and turn left onto East Main Street, turn right into the park and follow it east into the park, which is on the right.
