About Brimley State Park

Brimley State Park offers recreational activities for all ages, with a mix of hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, camping and other outdoor activities. The first 38 hectares of the park have been open to the public since 1923, when the village of Bramley gave the first of them to the DNR.

Hunting, fishing, boating and hiking are popular amenities in Brimley, and the remaining space was acquired through purchase and barter. It was established as a recreation area for the inhabitants of Bramley and its neighbouring villages.

Hunting, fishing, boating and hiking are popular amenities in Brimley, and the remaining space was acquired through purchase and barter. It offers a warm swimming area on Lake Superior and access to a number of lakes, rivers and lake hiking trails.

The lawn area has picnic tables and barbecues, toilets and changing facilities. A large enclosed picnic area can be rented for the day or reserved at 906 - 248 - 3422.

From 75 take Exit 386 and merge onto M-28 at W. 7 miles, and then onto I-75 and take the exit for 386. A disused railway cooridor on the west side of the park offers hiking and skiing opportunities in winter. In this park there are several established trails, as well as a number of new and a few new trails.
