About Bennett Spring State Park

In the mid-19th century, settlers found Bennett Spring as an ideal place for a watermill. Today, most people come to Bennett Springs State Park to catch rainbow trout or simply marvel at the spring that bubbles every day. But the farmers waiting for their grain in the mill still attract tents, hikers and canoeists. A Bennett spring hike can be as easy or long as a day trip from the nearest town to the park entrance.

Today, the State Park, built on Peter Bennett's spring, delights visitors with its natural beauty and picturesque views. Some fishermen will meet fishermen, while others will visit the Nature Center, whose exhibits interpret the springs and natural environment of Missouri. Bennett Spring State Park has five campsites and offers a variety of camping options, including a campground, picnic area and boat ramp. Those looking for less rugged fun can find vacation rentals at the park's campgrounds or in the nearby city of St. Louis.

Services include reservations, landfill, showers and laundry, as well as access to the picnic area, boat ramp and water park.

Camping # 1 is open all year round, but campsites # 2, # 3, 4 and # 5 are closed from November to February 24. Water is available from April 15 to October 15 and no minimum stay is required.

The conference room and pantry can be reserved for $5 per person, or $10 for a group of up to six people and $15 per day for adults.

The complex can accommodate about 60 guests and is fully equipped, with kitchen, dining room, bathroom, shower and laundry room. For more information about BenNETT SPR State Park, please contact Donna at (888) 543-5555 or the park office.
