The Thirty Mile Lighthouse, which was closed by the US Coast Guard in 1958, is part of the park and can be rented year-round. Golden Hill State Park was acquired by New York State in 1962 and reopened as a state park in 1967.

These monuments have a rich history that visitors of the park can enjoy in addition to their natural beauty and picturesque views. The Thirty Mile Lighthouse, a landmark that has played an important role in the history of New York State for over 100 years.

The lighthouse was originally used as accommodation for nurses and auxiliary workers, and the tenants had lighthouse huts. This apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, laundry, dining room, kitchen and living room. Bring your own bed linen and towels and take your tenants with you to the lighthouse.

Golden Hill State Park offers a variety of activities including nature hiking, cycling, skiing, snowmobiling and walks in the lighthouse area. Winter activities are also possible, including a five-kilometer snowmobile trail that runs through the park. In the summer months, there are often park events, as well as the annual Golden Hill Festival, a festival of hiking and camping in nature.
