About Boiler Bay State Park
This wondrous and rugged basalt bay is a great place to watch wild surfing on rocky rocks, and it is one of the best places in Oregon to see the ocean. Take out your binoculars and watch sea turtles, crested grebes, sea otters and sea lions. This magnificent vantage point provides an excellent vantage point for migratory and resident gray whales.
In 1910 the J. Marhoffer sank in an explosion and the vessel's boiler can be seen at low tide. A short, bumpy road leads to Oregon's richest tidal pool and then to Boiler Bay State Park, home to one of Oregon's largest tidal pools.
