The National Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Baker City is less than an hour away, and if history isn't your game, then sport is coming. The Oregon Trail's wagon tracks are only visible from the road, but the campgrounds are ideal for base camp if you want to explore the region.

Brownlee Reservoir offers fishing, water skiing, swimming and boating, but for landlubbers there are many lakes and ponds for hiking and cycling, as well as a variety of hiking trails and trails.
