About Clyde Holiday State Park
Think of the Clyde Holliday State Recreation Site as an oasis; tall willows - overgrown cotton trees provide shade and serenity. The park is surrounded on all sides by some of Oregon's most pristine wilderness areas and is bordered by the beautiful John Day River. Each campsite is equipped with a variety of trees and other plants to give you a private, secluded feeling.
Wildlife is as likely as man; majestic Rocky Mountain elk and mules are frequent visitors, and you can see steely-headed godwits rushing upstream to spawn. The park is located on the banks of the John Day River, one of Oregon's most beautiful rivers.
