About Cumberland Mountain State Park

Cumberland Mountain State Park is located in the Great Highlands, which stretch from western New York to central Alabama. It is said to be the largest truss plateau in America, with a height of over 1,000 feet above sea level and a height of over 2,500 feet.

The 1,720 hectare park was acquired in the 1930s as a recreation area to provide recreation areas for about 250 families who wanted to live on the Cumberland Plateau. The Homestead Museum, located just one mile from the park, represents the Cumberland Homeward community of 1930, as well as many other historic buildings and buildings.

The community built the park in the 1930s with the help of the CCC and EPA, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the National Park Service and other federal agencies.

There are three meeting rooms, which can accommodate between 100 and 150 people, depending on the facility. The meeting room is located on the ground floor of the restaurant, the other two rooms in a separate building in front of it.

The 36 by 6 cabins, modern and rustic, are ideal for individuals and groups looking for comfortable accommodation on the newest Best square since 1998. Jack Nicklaus - an 18-hole course covering 4,000 hectares on the north side of Cumberland Mountain State Park just north of the main road, uses a combination of flowing streams, compressed pine trees and a variety of grasses and shrubs. It has shooting ranges, sheltered greens surrounded by sandtraps and stone slabs, and a golf course with three holes in the middle.

The rustic cottages are set in the woods of Cumberland Mountain State Park and parking is available in front of the cottages. Each cabin is equipped with a wood-burning fireplace and the kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove, hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave.

Class A cabins can accommodate up to four people, AA cabins six, and B and B cabins C and C cabins C.

Class AAA cabins can accommodate up to ten people, Class AA and AA - AAA have two people each and Class AAA - AA offers rooms for five people and Class AAA - AAA has space for ten people.

The cabins in the mill house can accommodate up to 16 people and can be booked a year in advance, but can only be rented for one week at a time.

Picnic tables, barbecues and bathing facilities are also available, but non-campers will be charged a $2 shower fee. Cumberland Mountain Park has a number of picnic areas with picnic benches, a picnic table, barbecue and a swimming pool.

Campsites are allowed, but reservations for campsites are not accepted, and campers may camp in one place for up to three days at a time.

The park's Olympic pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and is open year-round - but only in the summer months. The pool has a capacity of 1,000 to 2,500 people per day and a depth of up to 4 feet.

Lifeguards are in use, chairs, tables, parasols and a bathhouse are available, but in the summer months there are no lifeguards in the pool due to the high water level.

The park offers fishing on Byrd Lake, and fishing from the shore is allowed in the paved area. Visitors can expect a variety of fish species such as bluefish, redfish, pike, trout, salmon, mackerel, Valais, blackbird and more.

Picnic tables and barbecues are available, and four picnic pavilions can be reserved for large groups. The park has behaved in such a way that each pavilion can be reserved up to a year in advance, according to the park's website.

Hiking trails are open all year round, and overnight stays are allowed on a hiking trail.

Cumberland Mountain State Park offers interpretative programs offered by seasonal naturalists and seasonal recreational directors, according to the park's website. The park offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, picnicking, fishing and hiking.
