About Fuller State Park

Few people stop to see how much wildlife there really is in Memphis compared to many major cities in the United States, but there is a large amount of wildlife in Fullerton State Park, located a few miles north of downtown Memphis. If you leave Memphis and live on the other side of the Mississippi, just south of Interstate 70, you will be right next to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

T.O. Fuller is a 1,138-acre forest surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Tennessee River Valley National Wildlife Refuge. It is located in southwest Memphis and is one of the largest parks in Tennessee with a population of about 2,000 people.

The 18-hole golf course is dominated by rolling hills and mature trees, and the wide fairways and Bermuda greens are crisscrossed with colorful, steep Tennessee vegetation and scenery infused with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Tennessee River Valley National Wildlife Refuge.

The characteristic hole of the course is the 196 yard par-3, which requires a precise tee shot to reach the small raised green. The state of Tennessee has awarded this course the title of "Best Golf Course" by the Tennessee State Golf Association for the second year in a row.

Reservations are accepted up to 7 days in advance, and the car and snack bar can be pulled into the parking lot by the park to enjoy a quick lunch and practice on the green.

We have expertise and experience in the area of customizing events and we have staff ready to take care of all your golf needs. T.O. Fuller State Park welcomes you to its newly renovated campgrounds, golf courses, picnic areas and golf courses. Call for a tournament tour package and let your staff take care of you if you need to play golf.

This modern complex houses two golf courses, two picnic areas and a picnic area. There are many deciduous trees that provide plenty of shade, as well as a variety of picnic tables and benches for your picnic.

Each campsite has a picnic hut, playground and bathhouse and is equipped with a fireplace, picnic table and picnic area, as well as picnic tables and benches. There are 45 campers per pitch, offering a variety of amenities such as showers, toilets, fireplaces and showers for each pitch.

Tents and campers are also welcome to camp on the campsites, showers and bathrooms are available on site for $5 per day.

The Olympic swimming pool is centrally located in the main recreational area of the park and is served by a bathhouse and a concession stand. Registration for the campsites is made by park rangers and campsite operators in an office building. All campers must be registered in advance at the campsite office, and registration is possible on the principle of "first come, first served." There is a central landfill near each camp site and each camp is available on the "first - come - first serve" principle.

The Olympic swimming pool at Fuller State Park is open during Memorial Week and through the end of the summer. During the regular swimming hours, lifeguards are in action, during the day, lifeguard stations are located at the pool and at night in the water.

There are four pavilions, which can accommodate 40, 50, 70 or 120 people, and each pavilion can be rented a year in advance. Grills are available at all locations and toilets in the group pavilions are also available. There are 35 individual picnic tables that blend well into the natural environment and there is a barbecue available in each location.

The park has an educational trail that leads through the wetlands and is perfect for bird, reptile and amphibian watching. The picnic area is located on the west side of the park, north of Plant Rd., and is currently being expanded to other areas of the park. This park is located at the intersection of South Main St. and South Park Rd., then left onto Appendix Rd and then right onto South Farm Rd.
