About Village Creek State Park

Here you can enjoy the rolling hillside scenery of Village Creek State Park and its surroundings. The ridge is covered with geological anomalies and is home to a variety of wildlife including deer, elk, coyotes, foxes, rabbits, birds and other wildlife.

The park also includes a 15 km horse trail, and hikers are offered the opportunity to explore the forest on their own or on a guided hike. Interpretation programs and exhibits tell the story of Village Creek State Park and its surroundings, as well as the history of the park.

The fishermen fish in the lake perch, bream, catfish and cappie, as well as trout, perch and other fish species. From spring to Labor Day, there are a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, camping, kayaking, canoeing and kayaking.
