About Lake Frierson State Park

On a gentle hill called Crowley Ridge, north of Lake Fayetteville State Park, is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the lake and its natural beauty. The bloom of the wild dogwood in the park highlights the natural beauty of the park throughout the spring. Facilities include self-guided hiking trails, picnic areas and you can rent a fishing boat, kayak or pedal boat.

The Friersee overlooks the lake and the scenic views of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Facilities include self-guided hiking trails, picnic areas and you can rent a fishing boat, kayak or pedal boat. The park is located on the east side of Lake Fayetteville State Park, north of Fenton.

The property is heated and has a picnic area with picnic tables, a covered barbecue, picnic table and picnic chairs. The complex has heated picnic areas, hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, chips and other snacks.

The facility can accommodate about 80 people and is open all year round - from 10 am to 4 pm and from 12 pm to 5 pm, except in the summer months.

No rental fees or reservations are required for use and the property is open to the public at any time of the day or night except in the summer months.

Lake Frierson State Park has two main trails, the Dogwood Lane Trail and Bear Creek Trail. The Dogwoods Lane Trail is a self-guided trail with a 1.8 km spur leading to the visitor centre. Along the way, you should also observe a large number of wildlife such as coyotes, foxes, wolves, bears, coyotes and other wildlife.
