About Bottle Beach State Park

Bottle Beach State Park is one of the oldest and most popular parks in the state of California. The open Wadden Sea is the most important feature of this park and it is the only park of its kind in North America with such a wide variety of activities.

The flatlands of the mudflats provide an ideal habitat for invertebrates that attract coastal birds that migrate from Central and South America to their breeding grounds or from the Arctic to Antarctica.

The area is also used by a large number of migratory birds, and birds of prey such as peregrine falcons visit the area. Grays Harbor is considered a bird feeder area that attracts more than a million birds each spring. According to the Audubon Society, which designates the area as an "important bird area," 20 percent of all migratory birds use it in the winter months.

In total, more than 130 bird species were observed on the beach, up from more than 1,000 last year, according to the park.

The park is open all year round - from morning to evening and service dogs are allowed at any time, according to the park. Dogs are not allowed on the parking lot or on the beach during the summer months, except for special occasions such as weddings.

Bottle Beach State Park is located on the historic site of the city of Ocosta and plans were made in the late 19th century to make Bottle Beach a state park.

The North Pacific Railroad chose Ocosta because it offered imports and exports a route across the country. When the boom began, the city of O Costa and its councilors asked potential investors from the East for help. Nothing can stop us from becoming the wealthiest city in the West, or even the second largest in California, "read one early ad.

Time passed when Ocosta at sea slowly became the landscape we see today, and settlements began to establish themselves around it. But hopes of a seaport faded as the realignment of rail sedimentation undermined the notion that O Costa could become a major port.

The Bottle Beach Interpretive Trail covers approximately 9.5 hectares of biotoprenaturation, including a viewing platform on the west side of the beach and a series of display boards along the way. The facility focuses on carefully located and shielded paths, and the site also includes interpretative panels to enhance the visitor experience and raise awareness of the importance of birds - observing, staying silent, and avoiding sudden movements.

The path is pedestrian only and no motor vehicles, horses or bicycles are allowed, but the park has an agreement with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) to use the path for public use.

The Bottle Beach State Park is located 20 minutes west of Aberdeen on Highway 105, just north of the city of Westport, California. Highway105 will take you from Aberdeen to Westports and then south to Bottle Beach, about 30 minutes east of San Francisco.

The spray is spreading to Bottle Beach State Park, north of the town of Westport, Calif., about 30 minutes east of San Francisco.

The park is located on the north side of the highway and overlooks the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge as well as the Santa Cruz Mountains.
