Montgomery Woods State Park, a 1,000-acre park in Montgomery County, is the perfect place for a picnic. Tables are available on the picnic area of the park and in the shade of trees and trees.

Montgomery Woods is home to more than 2,500 acres of wildflowers, trees and shrubs.
The trail is about three kilometres long and is laid out in a flat loop that takes about half an hour.

The trail follows Montgomery Creek through five different sequoias that are never cut down, and the trail runs about two miles along the creek.

The Sierra Redwood (Sequoia giganteum), also called Big Tree, is older and more massive, but rarely reaches the height of its coastal relatives. The sequoia seen here is the largest of the Sierra redwoods in the state of California and the second largest in California after the California Golden Gate. They grow at high altitudes, which is why they occur in the Sierra ranges and coastal areas.

The sequoia (Sequoia semperviren) grows in areas that are moderately warm and dry in summer, but dry at night. They do best in areas with heavy fog, where the soil rarely dries out completely, and they do not thrive well in cold, dry conditions.

At 340 metres, the coastal redwood is the tallest tree in the world and grows in the estuaries of the lowlands, where it absorbs alluvial land and mud deposited by floods. The reserve began in 1945 with a 10-acre donation from Robert Orr and has grown to 1,142 acres since then through acquisitions and donations from Save Monterey Woods State Park and Montgomery Woods Conservancy. This hotel is located 15 km east of the city of Comptche and is accessible from the north / west curve of Highway 101 and Highway 1.
