About Lake Louisa State Park

Just a short drive from Orlando, the park is known for its rolling hills and scenic views of Lake Louisa State Park. It offers fishing, canoeing and kayaking access and is connected to the Palatlakaha River, known as the Outstanding Florida Waterway. Lake Louisa is one of the largest lakes in the state of Florida and the second largest lake in Florida, connected by a 1.5 mile stretch of the Palatka River and its tributaries, as well as a 2,000 foot stream. Fishermen can fish on four of the six lakes, but petrol-powered boats are not allowed. Boats with troll engines are allowed to travel on three lakes and a river, with a maximum speed of 30 miles per hour.

The park offers hiking and camping facilities for hikers and backpackers, and also has fully equipped campsites and fully equipped cabins. Dixie Lake stretches over a 1.5 km stretch of the Palatka River and its tributaries, and for riders there are horse riding trails and riding facilities, as well as a trail head for horses.

Lake Louisa State Park is located on the west side of the Palatka River, just north of St. Louis, Missouri, about 30 miles northwest of Charlotte.

Lake Louisa now offers 20 new cottages overlooking beautiful Lake Dixie, and all you need are groceries and personal belongings. Each cottage is fully equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, bed and linen, stove, stove and refrigerator. The park recommends that mineral water is brought with you when camping and vehicles are not allowed on the grounds. This place is located on the hiking trail and has a parking space arrangement and can accommodate a maximum of 6 people per side.

Lake Louisa has three primitive youth campsites, each of which can accommodate up to 20 people. All three sites are located south of the original equestrian camp of the park and all three are accessible by boat.

The nearest spring is in the primitive equestrian camp, but it is not drinkable and the park recommends that visitors bring bottled drinking water. At these sites, parking is prohibited on youth recreation areas to minimize the impact on native vegetation. Reservations can be made at 352-394-3969 or online at Lake Louisa State Park. If you need a pitch, you must make a reservation at least two weeks before the camp starts.

Payment is due on arrival and must be made on arrival in cash, cash or by credit or debit card.
Six to ten young people need a guide; eleven to twenty young people need two leaders and so on; six to ten adults; and eleven to twenty young people need two "guides," etc., etc.

If the campsite is only for youth organisations, an accompanying person must stay with the young people while they are in the park. Groups must have at least one member of the youth organisation they qualify for and arrive at their location in the parks within 24 hours of registration.

Lake Louisa also offers access to canoes and kayaks, but does not have a designated launch site, so you would have to reach your beach to start canoeing or kayaking. The park offers a canoe / kayak start on the north side of the park, south of Lake Louis, just a few hundred meters from the beach.

Lake Louisa State Park offers four or six lakes for fishing, and offers canoeists and kayakers the opportunity to observe a variety of wildlife or just find peace and quiet in the calm waters. Away from the lake shore, Lake Louisa offers fishing, but it is a large lake with an average depth of 400 meters and a maximum of 2500 feet.

Dixie Lake is the second largest lake and is located 800 meters from the park and can only be reached through the main entrance of the highway. It is a beautiful lake that offers fishermen the opportunity to catch fish and see the rich wildlife of this park. Lake Dixie has a gazebo that houses a large number of birds and a variety of wildlife, as well as a small lake with a maximum depth of 400 meters.

The park also has Smokehouse Lake, which offers no amenities and is accessible only by four-wheel drive. You must register with the Ranger Station and report that you have been granted access to Smoke House Lake.

The park bans the use of gas powered motorboats and boat trailers and only handstarts. Only boats driven by tug engines and operated manually are allowed in the park and only by hand start or manual operation.

Ask the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for the current requirements for your fishing license. All freshwater fishing laws and restrictions in Florida are enforced by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and the Florida State Department of Natural Resources.

Each of the 20 cabins has 2 complete bathrooms, two of which are wheelchair accessible, and the bathhouse on Lake Louisa Beach has a toilet that only has cold water but not drinking water. All bathrooms with hot water must be ADA compliant to ensure that the bathroom is ADA compliant.

Hiking is allowed on horse trails and you can observe an abundance of wildlife and birds Is one of the most popular activities in Lake Louisa State Park, where sightings are seasonal. We have a wide variety of bird species, such as hawks, owls and eagles, as well as many other bird species.

This one-mile nature trail is located near the Lake Louisa parking lot and is one of the most popular hiking trails in Missouri.

This path leads to a picnic area where visitors are informed about the flora and fauna of the park.

Pets can camp in Lake Louisa State Park, but pets are not allowed in cabins and campgrounds.

Pets must be kept at all times and rest periods must be observed between 23: 00 and 07: 00. Pets that are left tied up or unattended in the park for more than 30 minutes may not leave their handcuffed - reared - owner unattended for more than one hour at a time.

Florida law requires that all pets be vaccinated against rabies, and their owners must collect their pets and return them to the park within 24 hours.

Animals that are noisy, dangerous, intimidating or destructive must not stay in the park and must be locked up or locked away.
