About Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park

The park has more than 1,000 miles of underwater passages, some of which have been included in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Cave Explorer Program, a program for cave divers to study and study underwater cave systems in the United States. Only divers who can prove their diving license are allowed to explore the underwater caves.

The mature forests that are located in the springs represent four large natural plant communities.

Educational trails lead visitors along paths that trace the winding tunnels of Peacock Spring, Orange Grove and Valley, as well as the underground cave system. Swimming in PeACOCK Spring and orange groves and the sinks are popular summer activities. Barbecues and gazebos are available for picnics, as well as a variety of picnic tables and benches along the paths and in front of the park entrance.

The land was pushed up and rested on limestone platforms, but geological growth has not stopped, and recent research has shown the existence of a large underground cave system in the area of the Peacock Spring. The hotel is located at the entrance to PeACOCK SPRINGS State Park, just south of the park entrance.

The Peacock Springs State Recreation Area is an exceptional natural ecosystem that contains elements of national and national importance. The 288-hectare recreation area contains limestone deposits on the ground, including a large underground cave system and the largest underground cave system in the US.

Swimming is limited to Orange Grove and Peacock Springs and depends on seasonal water levels, so swimmers do their own swimming at their own risk. Swimmers are responsible for the safety of themselves and others, as well as for the health of water and the environment.

Open - Water divers are only allowed in the Orange Grove Sink, and certified diving teams do cave diving. All divers must present a certificate of authorization before diving and all caves and caves for diving are inhabited by certified diving teams.

Divers dive at their own risk, solo diving is not allowed and dives cannot be extended after 5: 00 pm. All instructors teaching the course must have a commercial diving license.

The Peckey Springs Diving Course in Peacock Springs State Park is open to the public from July 1 to October 31, 2017.

Snorkeling is limited to Orange Grove and Peacock Springs and depends on seasonal water levels, so swimmers do it at their own risk. Snorkelers: Snorkeling is limited to the diving course in Peckey Springs, and snorkeling is restricted at Orange Grove of PeACOCK Springs.

Peacock Springs offers picnic tables and barbecues, and picnic facilities are available in two areas of the park. The Orange Grove sink has a picnic table, picnic chairs, barbecue and barbecue.

The picnic area is open from Monday to Friday from 11 am to 4 pm on weekends and from 12 pm to 5 pm.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at Peacock Springs State Park, but must always be on a leash and not be left unattended for more than an hour. Dogs are not allowed in spring, and well-behaved dogs and children under 5 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
