About Orchard Beach State Park

Orchard Beach State Park is located on a steep hillside overlooking Lake Michigan, just south of the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Next to the park there is also a guided hiking trail, and a staircase leads from the beach to a campsite. Stairs lead from campsites to the sandy shores of Lake Michigan, stairways lead from campers to the beach.

The picnic area offers a wide selection of picnic dishes such as hot dogs, hamburgers and hot dogs for your enjoyment.

A large stone pavilion with toilets is available for rent, and the building is ideal for groups up to 200 people.

There is a self-guided nature trail next to our campsite, and there is no better way to get to know the city and learn a little about its unique history. Manistee has retained its Victorian flair, but it's a bumpy city, so make sure you cycle to a historic tour of Manneree. There is no better time of the year to cycle in a city you know and love, or to discover the unique history of this small town.

The port is flanked by two excellent beaches and has two moorings where you can fish all year round and look around the port and behave.

Fishing at Lake Michigan and Manistee Lake is great all year round, but later in the year, fishing falls back and fisheries reach feverish heights. Fishing boats, fishing rods and other fishing equipment are available, and fish for both the lake and the coast.

Take US-31 to M-110, turn left and drive one mile to the park entrance, then turn right into the parking lot and park at the entrance.
