About Rockhound State Park
Rockhound State Park is a popular spot for Rockhounds and is located on the west side of Rockhound Lake, north of the city of St. Louis, Missouri. Hiking trails offer spectacular views of the surrounding landscape with varying degrees of difficulty, as well as a variety of waterfalls.
To access Rockhound State Park from Deming, head east on NM 141 and take NM 11 to the Burro Mountains to the northeast. Once at the top, visitors can admire the turquoise mountains mined by Turqoise in the northeast and the Red River Valley in the south.
