Tumalo is located in the heart of sunny central Oregon and is located on the spectacular Deschutes River in Oregon. Tumalos is located in the heart of sunny central Oregon, a short drive from the Oregon State Capitol in Eugene.

The campsite is also close enough to make a short detour to the grocery store and escape the hustle and bustle. The Cascade Mountains are of course easy to reach, but the location makes Tumalos one of the best places in the state to dream of. Winter recreation is at Mount Bachelor, where skiers and snowboarders can experience some of the best powder in our state. For those who do not like skiing, there are many groomed cross-country trails to explore the snowy landscape.

At dawn and dusk, you can try to find rainbow trout while sipping on mayflies or caddie flies, or grabbing a raft and floating on your feet in the cool water in the heat of summer.

Take a hike or explore one of the river paths that meander gently through the gorges and untamed rivers. Hear coyotes make their haunting calls and announce the sunset and the coming darkness. Watch the sunrise over the hills and valleys of Tumalo State Park and smell the sweet scent of sage and juniper as dew drips from the branches.

A quiet, picturesque campsite where you and your family can stay overnight in a yurt or camp in the woods. In the evening, sit quietly and let the stars play their own show, with the sound of coyotes and birds and the light of the sun on the trees and rocks.
