About John B Yeon State Park
The John B. Yeon Scenic Corridor honors the memory of a man who generously contributed his time and talents to the development of the state's scenic corridor. Much of this scenic highway leads from I-84 into Yeons State Park, and a small portion of it is on the east side of I / 84, near the city of San Diego.
Elowah Falls is a 289-foot basalt fall that can be seen and appreciated from the top of the scenic network of paths in Yeons State Park. The high rocks, rising up at strange angles, are almost confusing at the end of the trail.
Most days the trail is never crowded and the accompanying landscape of rocks, boulders, waterfalls and other natural beauties offers the best hiking and views of the gorge.
