About Neshaminy State Park

Neshaminy State Park is located on the Delaware River in Lower Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The park takes its name from the NeshaMiny Creek, which eventually flows into the Delaware River, and its name comes from its location on the river.

The most popular attractions in the park include the picnic area and swimming pool, which are the main attractions of Neshaminy State Park, and the Delaware River Trail.

There is a boat connection to the Delaware River in the marina and there are boat connections to both Delaware and the river. The original Neshaminy State Park, a gift from Robert R. Logan of the Commonwealth, was begged by William Sarobia, the founder and owner of the first National Park in New York State. After his death in 1956, he handed over the property, land and water rights to his son Robert Logan Jr. and his family.

The Logan House has since been demolished and much of its furniture is now in the Pennsylvania Historical Museum Commission's collection. The property is under the control of Robert Logan Jr. and his family, as well as the Neshaminy State Park Foundation.

Dunks Ferry Road, which forms the eastern boundary of the park, is one of the oldest streets in Pennsylvania. Dunken and Williams have operated a ferry on the Delaware River since 1679, which bears the name of the company and gives travelers access to the ferry.

The large inn was built in the mid-17th century for travellers and has been run by many owners over the years. One of the most successful owners was John Vandergrift, who ran the profitable shadow fishing business. Despite its chequered history, the Ferry Inn has always had its fair share of good times and bad.

Private boats can be launched from the Delaware River access point, and about 235 marinas are seasonal. The demand for this place is always high, so wait for a place in one of the many private boat rentals at the Ferry Inn.

Note for people with disabilities: Note the Delaware River access at the Ferry Inn on the east side of the park.

All non-motorized boats must have one of the following boat registrations in the state: All motor boats must have a boat registration in that state.

There are a variety of warm water fish species in this section of the Delaware River, and fishing from the coast requires a fishing license.

This is the site of the former Robert Logan Home, which has since been removed from its original location on the east side of the Delaware River.

The tree-lined promenade serves as the road of the park and is used by visitors for numerous leisure activities of all visitors.

The River Trail Inner Loop explores the interior of the park and is a great way to discover wildlife and plants. The River Walk Trail follows the coast, offering views of the river and its boat traffic, and exploring the tidal swamps. This trail, the River Walk Trail, starts and ends at Logan Walk, but the trail is asphalted and ADA - accessible.

The River Walk brochure compares the past with the present and describes the history of the river and its tidal swamps, as well as its history as a tourist attraction. Puzzles help children explore estuaries, rivers and tidal marshes, and offer a variety of activities for children, such as kayaking and canoeing.

The brochure is available at the park office, by phone at 1 - 866 - 743 - 5555 or online at www. The park is a member of the National Park Service's Dunkin 'Donuts National Historic Park Program.
