The nearby High Rocks section of the park offers beautiful views of Tohickon Creek and forms a picturesque picnic spot while walking or walking along the park.

The early inhabitants of the area, the Lenni-Lenape, depended on Tohickon Creek as a source of food and water for their food production, and early industry depended on it.

Ralph Stover State Park has a watermill dating back to the late 18th century. The mill, which drained water from a dam to power it, is still visible, and the park takes its name from Ralph Stovers, the owner and operator of the mill.

In 1931, Stoverer's heirs donated the estate to the Commonwealth to use as a state park, and recreational facilities opened in the early 1940s.

The area is extensively used as a climbing area and is home to some of the most famous climbers of all ages. The 200-metre high rocks present a unique challenge for experienced climbers. High on the rocks, the renowned author has earned a reputation as one of Australia's best climbers and the country's most popular climbing destination.

Although Ralph Stover does not have a swimming pool, it is open in the summer months, but licenses and seasonal restrictions apply. Among the water species found in Tohickon Creek are perch, sunfish, carp and catfish. Trout and cold-water fish are caught by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.

Picnic facilities are available along beautiful Tohickon Creek, and the park has a picnic area with picnic tables, picnic benches and picnic chairs, and seating for picnic tables.
