About Mount Pisgah State Park

Mt. Pisgah State Park is located in the mountains of North Carolina, north of Asheville, North Dakota. The 1,302-acre park is located on the eastern edge of Mount PisGah National Park, about 30 miles east of Raleigh. It is also about 20 miles north - west of Charlotte, NC, and about 60 miles south - south of Charleston, SC.

A side road that leads from the villages of East Troy and West Burlington leads through rolling farmland to the park. A dam at Mill Creek forms Stephen Foster Lake, named after the famous composer and former resident. The 75-acre lake offers fishing, boating, ice skating and scenic views of Pisgah National Park and the Appalachians.

Swimming is not allowed in the lake, but the pool is open from 8 am to 5 pm. M. on weekends and from 9 am, 9.30 am and 5.45 pm unless otherwise stated. The adjacent park is Mount Pisgah State Park, the largest national park in North Carolina and the second largest in Virginia.

The pool complex includes a swimming pool, changing rooms, a fitness centre and a snack bar offering food and drinks. The pool is eight to five metres deep and includes ramps for disabled people.

In addition to the dam, during the summer season, boats can be rented from concessionaires, and berths can be rented seasonally. The 75 hectare Stephen Foster Lake has a capacity of 1,000 to 2,500 people per day, with a maximum of four berths available for camping.

All motor boats must be registered in the respective state and all non-motorized boats must have one of the following boat registrations from each state. No personal swimming gear may be worn during boating, except personal fishing gear, kayaks, paddle boards, canoes or rafts.

The picnic area overlooking the lake is bordered by the pool area and a pleasant wooded area offers a selection of sunny or shaded tables. Visitors of all ages can enjoy the picnic and pool areas and leisure areas of the park. Special barrels for the disposal of waste such as bins, garbage bags and other personal items are disposed of in a special bin near the picnic area.

Three picnic pavilions can be reserved for up to 11 months against advance payment, and there is an unreserved picnic pavilion. The picnic area "First come, first served" is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Mount Pisgah State Park offers a number of hiking, biking and snowshoeing trails in winter. The hiking trails are open daily from 11 am to 5 pm. M., and the paths lead from the parking lot at Piscataway Road to the hiking trail at the northern end of the park.

A walk through the butterfly garden allows visitors to take a look at the surrounding area, and exhibited artifacts connect you with the past. You can learn about early life on the farm and the wildlife, look at artifacts and connect with exhibited artifacts that relate to our past, such as the old farmhouse, barns and barn farm.

Mt. Pisgah County Park offers a wide range of activities for adults and children, as well as a variety of family activities. The Old Methodist Church cemetery is located on the west side of the park at the intersection of Old Mountain Road and Mount PisGah Road. This church was built at the beginning of the 19th century and is one of the oldest churches in the area.

The area is rich in Indian history and the museum has a rich local history, and excellent Indian traditions and exhibits can be seen at the Museum of Indian Culture and History at Mt. Pisgah State Park.

The Bradford County Farm Museum is located in Troy, PA, PA, PA 14 North and houses thousands of artworks that will illuminate young visitors. The numerous and varied exhibits in the museum keep alive the history of the local peasantry and their contributions to the economy and economy of the country. This state wildlife area of 289 hectares is home to more than 1,000 bird species, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds of prey and other wildlife.
