About Wyoming State Forest
The 780-acre park is located in the Wyoming State Forest and has been operated by the Forest District for many years. World's End State Park was opened in 1936 as part of Yellowstone National Park System, Wyoming's first national park.
Whil Glen is called because it is located in an S-shaped gorge, where the stream plunges into a steep rock face and continues its way to the top of the mountain.
Today, the park is managed by the Pennsylvania Bureau of State Parks and is offered as part of the Wyoming State Park System in Wyoming, Pennsylvania.
This area, which was developed during the days of the Civil Conservation Corps, was preserved for daily use only. The Dry Run Picnic Zone is located on the northern edge of Wyoming State Park, west of Lake Erie, south of Interstate 80. This property is well-suited for picnics and offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, camping and fishing, as well as picnic areas.
