About Guadalupe Mountains National Park

The park celebrated its 25th anniversary in 1997 and there are two other national parks, the Guadalupe Mountains National Park and the Guadalupa Mountain State Park. The mountains rise from the desert and host some of the highest peaks in the United States and the world, as well as a number of unique flora and fauna. One of the most important parks is the Bowl, which is located in a coniferous forest highland and is also home to unique and unique flora, such as the Gila River Drosophila.
