The Paul State Forest serves as an island forest between the sea and farmland, and its trees harbor a variety of forest species, except for some pine and oak species.

The diversity of the forest is high, so that depending on the weather, a large variety of bird species such as owls, squirrels and birds of prey can be observed. Regular visitors to the area include occasional red woodpeckers, black bears, foxes, raccoons, coyotes, elks, deer, elks, wild cats, wolves, peregrine falcons and other wildlife.
