About Jones Island State Park

Jones Island State Park is a state park on Jones Island, a small island off the coast of New Jersey in the Atlantic Ocean. The park has a beautiful circular route that leads through the center of the island and has had a good share of visitors in recent years.

The island is home to a herd of black-tailed deer, and the deer are quite tame and have become accustomed to the presence of humans. Visitors can feed them, making Jones Island one of the most popular spots in the national park. Feeding wild animals is prohibited by law in state parks, but visitors can still feed deer as they move through the park's main entrance.

Berths and buoys remain in place all year round - ideally on the north and south coasts. Boaters are exposed to constant boat growth throughout the year, from ship to ship and from small boats to large boats.

During low atmospheric conditions, South Cove can be exposed to strong southerly winds, and during the summer months, strong northerly winds can develop, causing severe erosion of rocks and rocks along the north and south coasts of Jones Island State Park. There are no mapped rocks in the bay, except for a few small rocks along the coast and a small number of small boulders and sandbanks.

The best anchorage is on the east and west sides of the island, and sailors should consult their nautical charts for this area.
