The forests, swamps and corridors make Millwood State Park Lake a tree-lined fishing harbor. The lake, known for perch tournaments, is one of the state's most popular fishing destinations, and offers excellent fishing opportunities in spring and autumn.

Another popular activity is bird watching, where various inhabitants inhabit the lake all year round - and also eagles, which also spend the winter in the lake.

There is a marina and there are year-round note rentals, and parking facilities include picnic areas, self-guided nature trails, a picnic area, picnic tables and picnic benches, and boat parking.

Fishing, waterfowl watching and photography are some of the popular activities for hikers along the way. At Cypress Point, picnic tables are available for those who want to rest and have a picnic. E.E. Cross the swamps and prairies, stand in the deciduous pine forests and walk through the standing pine and deciduous forests.

This trail is particularly popular in the fall and winter months, when many migratory birds use Millwood Lake as a resting place. On the way back, the trail passes an active beaver house and an alligator hole, as well as some of the most beautiful views in the park.

Drive 10 miles north to Texarkana on US 71 and park on Wildlife Lane, which is approximately one mile north of Millwood State Park. It is a four kilometre long hiking trail that winds through several hundred hectares of land designated as a nature reserve.
