About Alexander H Stephens Memorial State Park

A quiet place that combines leisure and fun in a state park with educational resources and historical sites. Named after Confederate Vice President and Governor of Georgia Alexander H. Stephens Memorial State Park, Georgia is housed in unified documents, including the Confederate flag, the Georgia State Flag and a statue of Alexander Stephens.

The beautiful outdoor areas make it a popular destination for picnics, camping, hiking, fishing and other activities. A popular place for large overnight events, group camps near the lake are a great place to camp, picnic or camp in the park.

Turn left at the traffic light, immediately turn right and walk 2 blocks to the park entrance on the right hand side of the street. Turn left and then left into the parking lot of Alexander H. Stephens Memorial State Park. Then immediately right onto East Main Street, right onto West Main, left onto South Main and right onto West State Street.

Follow the sign to the parking office and park on the right side of the parking lot on the left corner of East Main Street.

RVs larger than 12 x 10 '' 'cross the intersection of Highway 22 and Highway 278 and take Exit 148.

Turn left onto Alexander Street and follow the sign to the parking office and walk one mile to a parking lot on the right side of East Main Street.
