About Stone State Park

Stone State Park is a great place for family picnics, but you need to reserve a campsite. Half of the campsites are still first come first serve after first - come, first served, and they have 30 pitches and $9 electricity.

Three open rooms are available and can be reserved for a fee, and many offer a beautiful view of Lossberge and the surrounding area. Picnic areas are located throughout the park and include tables and barbecues for the public to use, as well as picnic tables.

Cyclists, snowmobilers and riders are obliged to stay on paths designated for their use to protect the park's resources. Many visitors use the trails within the parks and not all uses are compatible, so cyclists and snowmobilers must be required to stay away from the trails designated for use by the National Park Service (NPS) and the Department of Natural Resources (MDNR).

Unless otherwise stated, rangers may block paths and snowmobiles may only use the paths on special occasions. Stone State Park offers a wide selection of hiking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, mountain biking and other recreational activities. Call the park office to check the latest hiking conditions and get information about snowmobiles and trail entertainment.

The park offers a wide range of hiking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, mountain biking and other recreational activities. The park is operated by the state Department of Natural Resources (DNR), a division of the U.S. Forest Service. Visitors from the United States and Canada, as well as from all over the world, come to Stone State Park.

Near the nature centre there is a two-kilometre-long hiking trail, and a discovery area for children offers the opportunity to get to know skins, antlers, fossils and other artifacts. The centre offers interpretative performances including music, dance, art, music and dance lessons, as well as a variety of educational activities. No visit to Stone Park would be complete without a stop at Stone State Park Nature Center, the state's largest and most popular natural history museum.

The center is managed by the Woodbury County Conservation Board and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Mondays and holidays. The park is located on the west side of State Park, north of St. Paul, and covers an area of 1.5 million square feet, with a total of 4,500 acres of land.
